Nov and Dec are approaching and I’m sure some of you slugphiles will be having holidays soon? Well, don’t go away until you’ve sat through our Holiday Tips 101.

Tip #1 : Bad airplane book = Bad Holiday. ( Hence, Good airplane book = Good Holiday)

Tip #2 : Holiday Destinations w/o delicious Ice cream = No Go ( And please..lowfat yogurt is NOT icecream. period) Extra brownie points if said holiday destination has French-style Burnt Caramel icecream with organic sea salt.

Tip #3: ( also part of our holiday sanity module) Always pick vacation accomodations within a 10 minute walking radius of a decent-sized supermarket .

Tip#4: To quote from The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, ” A towel is about the most massively useful thing an interstellar hitchhiker can have” Bring a face towel with you always! Fashionista slugs like us swear by our Strawberry print hankies.

This morning, Angie and Dillon held their solemnization party at The Garden Slug .. And what a lovely day it was, to quote Kenny Slug, it was “hot but windy”.. The sky was a magnificent bright blue and it was so breezy…

Coz after setting up the solemnization table, it started to get really busy, and I had no chance to whip out my trusty digicam again. Gosh we have to show you the lovely muffins that Dillon and Angie designed! So Dillon, if you are reading this, Thank You for entrusting us with your big day.. You and Angie have been such gracious and friendly folks

Check out these lovely chocolates from Joey and Paul.. Joey celebrated her husband’s birthday at The Garden Slug on Friday night, and we’re so happy that they enjoyed themselves! So now, we must hao-lian a bit. ( Just kidding, we are just humbly sharing our joy!! ).. This is what Joey wrote in her card :

Joey, you know what? Actually Alex slug told me just now that you are one of the nicest customers we’ve ever had too.. He was so touched that at the end of the party, you actually helped the staff to pack up.. You were also so concerned that the staff would have to stay late and they may be exhausted ..  So truly, the pleasure was all ours! Here’s a toast from The Garden Slug to you and Paul, wishing you both lots of health and happiness!

Meet Wangwang!

He is a mid-sized adult male dog who looks like a Japanese Shiba and mongrel cross. He is a little hard of hearing and his eye sight isn’t tip top, but otherwise he is in perfect health ( The vet has given him a clean bill of health)
