Thanks to everyone who wrote in e-mailed, telephoned, and even those who kindly gave us feedback while tucking into your Brownie Popsicle. We love it that you’re constantly helping us to improve.
… since we took our last break. So it’s time again, to make a booking at the massage parlour and the physiotherapist down the road.
We be closed tomorrow Tuesday 23 Jan 2007.
If you’re having a sudden Pumpkin Prawn Pasta craving, we might not be able to do much about it. But other than that, we’re still contactable through e-mail and mobile phone.

See you again on Wednesday. Toodles!
You celebrated Christmas and welcomed the new year with us. Why not spend Valentine’s with us as well - but this time we’ll spare you our dribbling, mindless chit-chat and we promise to leave you (and yours) alone
Babyback ribs, Australian ribeye, Snow cod, Brazilian butterfly lambchops, Grilled chicken in orange glaze… That’s The Garden Slug way of saying “I Love You”.

We mentioned jokingly that we wanted pots of fresh herbs, like dill, basil, mint… you know, just the regular stuff we use in our dishes.
Next thing we know, Sern Fern pops by for lunch one day and hands us a pot of dill! Ta-daah! Thank you so much Sern Fern, you are a darling.
Our only concern was, um, how long the poor plant would last under our “care”. However, it’s been two weeks now and it’s still looking pretty good!
From now onwards, Sern Fern’s home-grown fresh dill shall go into every Salmon & Dill Sandwich.

Check out these decadent babies!

That turkey sure has some leg muscles going on there. Served with an intoxicating, rich, red wine sauce, guaranteed to induce silly laughter and scandalous stories.

Sharon slug calls it a “Mee sua” salad. Did I mention that Sharon Slug is from Muar?

Golden brown and crispy, served with a clingy creamy herb dip.

We love working with fruits, both of the human and garden variety.

Brownie madness- These popsicles just seem to be putting smiles on people’s faces- maybe we should rename them Popsicles of Joy or something !

Yup, did we mention that these are brownie popsicle-loving folks?

Dorothy & Mandy: “Best brownie Popsicles we’ve ever tasted- Best part is that we get to keep our hands clean! “

Jonathan and Wei Ling were here this evening to have a nice slow romantic dinner… It was Wei Ling’s birthday and Jonathan was very sweet to have “conspired” with Joseph Slug to spring a surprise on Wei Ling.
We prepared a bunch of huge grilled king prawns with a lemongrass and rosemary butter for Wei Ling < -- not on the slug menu.. We went to 3 places to source for the whopper prawns for the dish... Bedok market.. Geylang and then finally, good old Carrefour seafood department!
We're so glad that she enjoyed the makan and the laughter!
Jonathan and Wei Ling stay all the way in the West, so we're really touched that they travelled all the way to Telok Kurau to check out The Garden Slug. Happy Birthday Wei Ling, I hope that the wish you made before you blew out the candles will come true
See you around soon!
The “secret” recipe is now online for all the world to see.
Ernie, Michelle and Milhan… take note! Haha
Guess what - we got reviewed on AsiaOne Wine, Dine & Unwind!
It all started with “Incognito Reader” Joey Tan who submitted a very earnest review of our little diner to AsiaOne. Next thing we know, Amy Yeong and Chi Hou are here to try our food and have a wee chat with us.
It was fun, the whole thing, and thrilling to see The Garden Slug being reviewed next to Les Amis and other established eating places.
Hey Joey, we owe you one. Pop by again soon, your next meal here is on us!
WASUGA!!!
